Okay so I'm a bad person and an even worse blogger. Sadly Malcolm Redfellow was right when he wrote that I was "a waste of bandwidth". While I acknowledged in my initial post that I was undisciplined in regards to writing I never intended for it to come this far.
And the only thing that makes this even harder is that yesterday I had a really good blog going and the window closed up on me. Note, not only do I hate humanity but also technology. Yes I am a compassionate misanthrope with strong luddistic tendencies who also happens to be an online news junkie with a tendency for binging on video games every once in a while. Yes I do love the fact that the human experience is ripe with contradiction and hypocrisy (and probably spelling errors too).
Locally the AFL-CIO are getting into a pissing match with Bill Ritter after his cowardly veto of House Bill 1072. Of course all of the local media and political establishment is lining up to get their kicks in on labor while the getting is good. And though I'm a proud union man (my local is tattoed on my arm) I can't help but agree with them. Labor is going about this all wrong and comes across as a baby throwing its rattler from pram because it can't get its way. Don't get me wrong, Ritter shouldn't have vetoed it and the attempted "compromises" which still contain a second vote with a weighted majority don't do shit for me. But instead of pulling a last minute walkout and doing a mass picket in front of the Democratic convention in '08 they're going to ask the democratic national committee to consider moving the convention. And people wonder why no one takes labor seriously anymore...
