Aloha Friday
Okay a reall quick post before I go to work (Oh yeah it's Hawaiin shirt Friday). I'm calling between 8-10 seats for SF (including MLM). The pundits can call the rest of them but I think the constituency specific approach by SF will mean that until everything is said and done they will be under rated. I hope I'm not sticking my neck out too far here.

Yeah, I was calling it wrong too. Who'd 'a thought that the "sophisticated" Irish electorate would have fallen for the sweet talk again?
There's now no way the country and the people can be saved from another four years of kleptocracy and skullduggery.
Reminds me of that episode described in George Woodcock's History of Anarchism. It goes something like this (and, in the absence of the text, I paraphrase from memory. And, yeah, I've used the story before):
Anselme de Bellegarrigue is returning from the Barricades of the Paris Commune. He is addressed by a citizen: "Isn't it great!".
Bellegarrigue sighs: "You have already been betrayed. Have they not already elected a government."
The only hope is that, as time progresses, disillusion will continue to erode, the feet-of-clay will decay. One day ... one day ...
Heaven spare us, though, from the hubristic boasting of FF loyalists.
Thank you, Tony Blair. Thank you, the Rev Dr. You've dropped a lot of decent people back among the shit-eating grins of a festering cess-pool. Let's hope the opposition on the Left get their act together: they've had enough time to practise.
